Women’s Lacrosse Blown Away by Keuka College, 20-2

Box Score HORSHAM, Pa – The Penn State Abington women's lacrosse team (2-12, 2-5 NEAC) fell to Keuka College (10-2, 6-0 NEAC) in a North Atlantic Eastern Conference game Saturday afternoon, 20-2.
 
Abington only managed two goals in the game, one from junior Chasidy McLaurin and the other from junior Katelyn Haas. Keuka was led by senior Maggie Bonafede as she racked up eight points including three goals and five assists while t10 of her teammates recorded at least one goal of their own.
 
The Storm came out firing in the first half scoring four unanswered goals before McLaurin found the net at the 25:20 mark to put Abington on the board. Keuka then went on to score six more goals to take the lead 10-1. The Blue and White would respond with a goal from Haas to make it 10-2 but it would be their last goal of the game. The Storm added four more goals before ending the half at 14-2.
 
Keuka dominated the second half, tallying six more goals while shutting out Abington, limiting the Blue and White to just two shots on the net. The Nittany lions forced ten turnovers but could not take advantage of the opportunities.
 
Abington's Sandy Cao played all 60 mintues of regulation in goal making five key saves. The Storm split playing time between goalkeepers, Korie Fitzgerald playing the first half and Samantha Peacock covering the net in the second half. With the win, the Storm improved to 10-2 on the year and remained undefeated with a 6-0 record in the NEAC.

The Nittany Lions will look to bounce back on Wednesday, April 23 as they host a conference game with Lancaster Bible. The game is slated to begin at 6:30 pm at Hatters Stadium.
