Box Score MORRISTOWN, NJ – The Penn State Abington women's lacrosse team held on to win in its last game of the season over the College of Saint Elizabeth Screaming Eagles, 12-10 on Saturday afternoon.

Avery Winn led the Nittany Lions with four goals while teammate
Katelyn Haas recorded three goals and an assist in the game.
Katelyn Kelly and
Victoria Parker both found the net twice as
Chasidy McLaurin picked up two points on a goal and an assist. Goalkeeper
Sandy Cao played all 60 minutes between the pipes and made 13 key saves in the 19 shots faced.
The Screaming Eagles (2-11, 2-7 NEAC) struck first with a goal off of a free position shot from Brianna Fedorich and would go on to score two more unanswered goals to lead 3-0. Abington quickly responded with four goals, the first from Winn followed by two from Haas, and the next from Parker with 10:22 left on the clock to give the Nittany Lions the 4-3 lead.
St. Elizabeth battled back to find the net and tie the game at four a piece until Kelly put one between the pipes to give Abington the lead 5-4 with just under two minutes remaining in the first half. The Screaming Eagles would tie the game at five within the last minute of the first half.
The Blue and White started the second half with back-to-back goals from Haas and Winn, each off of free position shots for the 7-5 lead. The Screaming Eagles did not make this game easy for the Blue and White, fighting for every ball and answered again by scoring twice, tying the game at seven with 17:46 to go.
The back and forth affair continued for the next six minutes with both teams trading a pair of goals before McLaurin and Kelley found the net with back-to-back goals to give the Nittany Lions a 10-8 lead but it was quickly followed by a pair of goals from St. Elizabeth with the score tied at 10 with 10:04 left to play.
With the last game on the line, the Blue and White came out fierce as Winn scored her fourth goal of the contest, giving Abington the lead 11-10. Abington would not look back as Parker found the net again and gave her team an insurance goal as the Blue and White went on to win 12-10, clinching their fourth win of the year to close out the 2014 campaign.
The team closes out the 2014 season with a 4-12 overall record and 4-5 in North Eastern Athletic Conference.
