Ditro Makes History in 13-3 Rout of John Jay

ABINGTON, Pa – In the fourth inning, senior Tom Ditro (Philadelphia, Pa) broke the Penn State Abington record for career doubles, as he led the Nittany Lions to a 13-3 win over John Jay College Wednesday evening.
 
Ditro hit his 43rd career double breaking Mike Kerns record.
 
On the mound, Greg Mugnier (Abington, Pa.) pitched five innings only giving up one run on five hits with three strikeouts.
 
Max German (Newtown, Pa.) had a solid game behind the plate, going 3-of-5 with two runs, two RBI's and one walk.
 
Abington jumped out in front with 11 unanswered runs off ten hits in the first four innings. 
 
The Bloodhounds struggled defensively with three errors that led to four unearned runs.
 
Abington (10-13) will take a day off before they run into a three-day road stretch, starting with Gwynedd Mercy University on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
