GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2017 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference selections, and individual season awards.

After a leading the Nittany Lions to their best season in program history, head coach
Noelle Powell has earned her second career Coach of the Year award, and first in the NEAC, sharing the title with Morrisville State head coach Kelsey Van Alstyne.
SophomoreÂ
Marah Hayes (Warminster, Pa.) was named to the NEAC First Team for her record breaking season for the Nittany Lions. In the midfield, she netted multiple single season records in goals (54) draw controls, (93), assists (35), ground balls (67) and caused turnovers (47). She led the Nittany Lions scoring offense to be ranked third in NCAA DIII with 18.54 goals per game average. Â She earned five NEAC student athlete of the week awards in offense and defensive player of the week.
Junior defender
Bridget Meade (Willow Grove, Pa.) also earned First Team All-Conference for her terrific season in defense. As a team captain, she earned 20 caused turnovers, and 27 groundballs leading the Nittany Lions to a top three defense in the conference.

Freshman
Veronica Baez (Hatboro, Pa.) was named to the NEAC Second-Team All-Conference for her outstanding season. In the midfield, Baez was a key member of the offense finishing fourth in goals with 35 this season, she also won 36 draw controls and scooped up 32 ground balls this season.

Freshman
Alynn Phelan (Philadelphia, Pa.) earned Third Team All-Conference after her superb season in the attack. The freshman attacker finished second on the team in goals with 46 for the season and scored a career high 8 goals in the final regular season game to clinch the Nittany Lions hosting the conference tournament.

In her final year with the Nittany Lions, senior
Molly Wyman (Abington, Pa.) won her first NEAC All-Conference selection on the Third Team after an exceptional season. Wyman was an important part of the midfield with 29 ground balls and 19 draw controls.

The Nittany Lions will host Cazenovia College in the first game of the NEAC conference tournament on Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m.
