Auburndale, Fla – The Penn State Abington baseball team earned another victory in the Rusmatt Invitational Tournament Tuesday Afternoon. In this high scoring game, Abington came out on top 15-12 against King's College (PA). The win improved their record to 3-5 overall.
In the top of the 3
rd inning, junior 
Tyler DiPatri (Pedricktown, NJ) singled out to right field for the Lions. The hit drove home two runs and gave Abington a 4-2 lead.
As the game progresses, the Nittany Lions and Monarchs continued to put up scores.
At the start of the 6
th inning Abington trailed King's College, however the Nittany Lions' batters would ignite them to the lead. Junior 
Brett Guaglionona (Abington, Pa.) scored off a hit from sophomore 
Stevie Stevenson (Westampton, NJ). Later in the inning, freshman 
Ryan McCarty (Yardley, PA) doubled down the infield lined. This drove home a run from freshman 
Jaden Himmelreich (Temple, PA) and advanced Stevenson to third base. Abington would go on and score four more run in that inning. At the end of the 6
th, the Nittany Lions were on top 13-11.
In the 9
th inning, freshman 
Darren Aupperle (Barrington, NJ) solidified the game for Abington after he singled up the middle. This drove home the last run of the game.  
The Nittany Lions will return to action Thursday 9:15 A.M. against Greensboro College in the Rusmatt Invitational Tournament.
