Nittany Lions Drop Two Against Wesley

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 DOVER, D.E.- The Penn State Abington women's softball team traveled to Wesley College on Saturday afternoon for a friendly double header. The Nittany Lions lost both games and fall to 3-10 on the season.

In game one, Abington got shut out 3-0. Offensively, the Nittany Lions only produced two hits. One came from sophomore Jackie McMenamin (Oreland, PA), and the other from freshman Mary Kate Smith (Springfield, PA). As a team, there was a total of 9 strike outs for Abington.

The Nittany Lions were able to push their first run across the plate early in the first inning of game two. Jackie McMenamin drove a single to right field, scoring teammate Stephanie Andreoli (Richboro, PA). Unfortunately, that was Abington's only run of the game, and the Nittanty Lions fell to the Wolverines 4-1.

Abington will travel to NEAC opponent Lancaster Bible College for their first conference game of the season this Friday for a 3:00pm doubleheader.
