SALISBURY, MD - Facing off against nationally ranked Salisbury University the Penn State Abington baseball team took an early lead, but coudn't pull off the upset in a 9-1 loss on tuesday afternoon.
After the loss the Nittany Lions fall to 15-13 for the season.
In the first inning
Joseph Rizzo (Gibbstown, NJ) put the Nittany Lions ahead of the Sea Gulls with an RBI single in the first inning. The lead didn't last with the Sea Gulls scoring nine unanswered runs.
Abington looks to rebound when they travel to Penn College for a critical NEAC series staring on Friday afternoon at 12:00 p.m.
