Abington Competes in Rowan’s Border Battle

RESULTS

Logan Township, N.J. – The Penn State Abington women's cross country team competed in the ninth annual Border Battle hosted by Rowan University on Saturday at DREAM Park.

Meet Highlights

* Senior Brielle Worrall crossed the finish line first for the Nittany Lions as she completed the 6k-course in a time of 27:01.6. Her time set a new personal-best in a 6k-race. Worrall's previous personal-best was 27:05.1 set at the 2022 D-III Metro Region Championships.

* Sophomore Nicole Hakman set a season-best time of 33:12.2.

* After setting a personal-best last week at the Jack St. Clair Memorial (38:08.9), freshman Kritika Singh once again improved her personal-best as she finished in 36:23.9.

* Freshman Liza Worrall also set a new personal-best in a 6k-race as she finished in 37:45.4.

* Freshman Anyia Norris finished in 43:46.1 as she broke her personal-best by nearly eight minutes. Last week at the Jack St. Clair Memorial, Norris finished in 51:33.9.

* Sophomore Himani Bhave set a season-best time of 46:10.0.

Abington returns to action in two weeks as the Nittany Lions compete in the annual United East Conference championships hosted by St. Mary's College (Md.). This year's championship will be held at Greenwell State Park in Hollywood, Md. More information will be available in the coming days.
