Lotoza, Worrall Set Records at Purple & Gold Opener

RESULTS

West Chester, Pa. – Junior Nic Worrall and sophomore William Lotoza each set a new school record as the Penn State Abington men's track & field team took part in the Purple & Gold Opener hosted by West Chester University on Saturday.

Meet Highlights

* Worrall broke his own school record in the javelin as he recorded a distance of 102' 8" (31.30m) to finish 14^th overall. His distance shattered his previous best of 90' 10" (27.68m) set at last year's West Chester's Last Chance Meet.

* Lotoza finished 15^th overall in the 400-meters with a time of 54.07 seconds as he broke the school record in the event. The previous top-time was set two years ago by Nicolas Nieves who recorded a time of 54.24 seconds at the Bill Butler Invitational.

* Lotoza also competed in the 200-meters and set a new personal-best in the event with a time of 24.57 seconds.

* Sophomore Dylan Stuff recorded two top-10 finishes in both the 110-meter hurdles and the 400-meter hurdles. In the 110, Stuff finished ninth overall in 20.42 seconds. He followed that up with another ninth place showing in the 400-hurdles with a time of 1:08.58.

* Junior Marco Isabella set two new personal-best times in the 800-meters and 1,500-meters. In the 800-meters, Isabella crossed the finish line in 2:17.68. He recorded a time of 4:36.94 in the 1,500-meters.

Abington returns to action next weekend as the Nittany Lions compete in the two-day Osprey Open hosted by Stockton University.
