Abington Athletics Now Hiring for 2025-26 School Year

The Penn State Abington Athletic Department is seeking dependable students to join our game-day staff as well as work in a variety of areas within the Athletic Building! Those areas include Game Day Staff, Intramurals Staff and Front Desk Staff.

Students interested in any of the positions below must contact Greg Pellegrino, Sports Information Director (gtp5088@psu.edu). When making contact please specify which area you are interested in applying for whether its an area within Game Day Staff or Intramurals Staff or Front Desk Staff. Spots are limited.

GAME DAY STAFF (Please note: Must be able to work sometime from the hours between 12 p.m. – 9 p.m. Monday – Friday, along with various weekend hours depending on game times.)

1. Game Day Operations
* Setting up and break down for all home contests
* Serving in various roles on game day, including but not limited to ball runners, scoreboard operator, floor mopper, substitution tracker, etc.
*Must have availability during evenings and weekends

2. Game Day Stats
* Serve as a stat caller or stat inputter in sports of soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball & Softball
* Training will be provided but a background in sport(s) and statistical side of each sport is preferred.
*Must have availability during evenings and weekends

3. Web Streaming
* Assist in the broadcast setup and functionality of the web stream throughout the game
* Live updates during the broadcast, including score update, overlays, PSA's, etc.
* Assist the broadcasters and sports information director
*Must have availability during evenings and weekends

4. Photography/Video
* Photography/Videography Duties During Games/Events (prior experience preferred but not required, photography spots are LIMITED)
* Owning Personal equipment is not necessary but will allow the flexibility to be scheduled more often to work events
* Must have availability during evenings and weekends

5. Social Media
* Help create in-game content for @AbingtonSports using photos, video clips and Boxout Sports
* Must have availability during evenings and weekends

6. Public Address Announcer
* Seeking individual(s) to serve as a Public Address Announcer for various sports.
* Those interested must possess strong reading & writing skills and confidence to perform as PA Announcer
*Must have availability during evenings and weekends

FRONT DESK, FITNESS CENTER & GYM MONITOR
* Supervise the fitness center by keeping equipment properly maintained and cleaned
* Provide Building Tours and Equipment Instruction
* Open and Close the Building
* Re-Rack Weights, Refill Supplies, Gym Wipes, etc.
* Check Penn State ID's

INTRAMURALS
* Assist the Coordinator of Game Operations and Intramural with the coordination and running of intramural events in the Athletic Building and IM Field
* Organize, Officiate and Conduct Intramural Events
Hours will range pending the scheduling of intramural events
