Box Score WASHINGTON, D.C. – Penn State Berks punched its ticket to the North Eastern Athletic Conference semifinals with a 3-0 victory over Penn State Abington in the opening round of the conference tournament on Friday, Nov. 2.
The third seed, Berks (19-9) will face second seed Keuka College Saturday. Sixth-seeded Abington sees its season come to a close with a 18-10 record.
Berks clinched the victory with a 25-14, 25-18, 25-13 decisions.
Abby Millan, the First-Team All-Conference player, led the Lady Lions with eight kills and 10 digs, while freshman setter
Leah Brown logged a double-doubles of 18 assists and 23 digs on the night.

Krysten Boyd, who was recently named Third-Team All-Conference player put up 16 digs to assist the defensive effort, as junior Joangelie Thomas pitched in six kills and 12 digs for Abington.

Despite the loss, the Lady Lions jumped out of the gate strong and finished the season with a winning record, earning its first ever NEAC Conference postseason bid in program history. Abington will now have to wait to hear if it earns a bid to the ECAC South Championship, pending the results of conference tournaments. Selections will be announced at a later date.
