dropped a 25-2 decision at Mount St. Mary in the season opener for both teams.

Andrew Carter caused two turnovers for the Nittany Lions.
Abington could not muster up an offensive attack against the Knights during the first period as Mount St. Mary scored 13 unanswered goals.
The Nittany Lions were outhustled in every category throughout the game as Mount St. Mary won 79% of the faceoffs, successfully converted 9-for-10 clears, and collected 31 total groundballs during the first stanza.
Abington finally found hope in the third period as
Dan Goldstein posted the first goal of the season for the Nittany Lions. Late into the fourth, senior
Christopher Calhoun posted the second goal of the game for Abington at the 6:52 mark.
Abington will regroup and return to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Albright College.
