After dropping the first two sets by a score of 25-18, 25-19, the Nittany Lions rallied back from the deficit to win their third set by a score of 26-24. However the rally fell short during the fourth set as the Knights triumphed (25-16) to win the match 3-1. Junior

In the third set, Penn State Abington (0-1) trailed early being down 2-9 before freshman
Sam Nelson's (Doylestown, Pa.) four services brought errors from the Arcadia's offense. Cadmus halt the streak with a kill for the Knights, however Millan immediately picked up where Nelson left off with four additional points to put the Nittany Lions ahead 11-10. The battle continued back and forth until the score was tied at 24 apiece, until Abington, needing just two more points, forced two Arcadia errors to put the Nittany Lions ahead for their first set win.

The fourth set began with the Nittany Lions starting off the block with a 5-0 lead. However the Knights would not back down as they stormed back on an 8-3 run to tie the game at eight. Unfortunately the momentum was in favor of the Knight for the remainder of the match as several forced errors cause the Nittany Lions to fall behind and drop a 1-3 decision on the night.
