GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Penn State Abington men's tennis team lost another close match today against Arcadia University in their first away contest of the fall season, 4-5.

Abington only managed to win at 2
nd doubles, with the team of
Steven Ly (Bensalem, Pa.)Â andÂ
Kevin Wilkinson (Brooklyn, N.Y.), 8-6.

The Nittany Lions were able to level the match at 2-2, when freshman
Mike Herman (Philadelphia, Pa.) earned his first collegiate victory at 2
nd singles, 6-1, 6-0.

Unfortunately, Abington was only able to take two more of the remaining five singles matches.
James Howell (Abington, Mass.) earned his first victory at the top spot in the lineup (1st singles) in a closely contested match 6-4, 7-5. Ly continued his winning ways in 3
rd singles with scores of 6-1, 6-4.

The success from the top half of the singles lineup did not continue, as 4
th, 5
th and 6
th singles all fell to Arcadia in two sets, bringing the Nittany their second 4 - 5 loss of the season.

Next up for Penn State Abington is Cabrini College on September 25th.Â
