Volleyball Closes Out Weekend With Win Over Cazenovia

Box Score KEUKA, N.Y. – The Penn State Abington women's volleyball team won on day two of the North Eastern Athletic Conference crossover, hosted by Keuka College, as they swept Cazenovia College 3-0 (25-21, 25-13, 25-15). With the win, the Nittany Lions improve 2-1 in conference play and 7-9 on the year.

Abington got off to a quick start playing extremely well as a team as they outhit Cazenovia .261 to .208. The Nittany Lions took the first set 25-21 and struck hard in the next set to take control of the match 2-0, and closed the Wildcats out 25-15 in the third for the victory.

Sophomore outside hitter Abby Millan (El Paso, Texas) paced the Nittany Lions with a team-high 10 kills, six aces and seven digs, achieving the 500 career kills milestone in just her second year at Penn State Abington. Cricket Lennon (Bethleham, Pa.) posted 17 assists on the day with Sam Nelson recording 12. Rachel Scornaienchi (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Kate Schalck (Warminster, Pa.) were strong in front of the net after a both players combined for two solo blocks for Abington.

The Nittany Lions return to action Tuesday as they host Bryn Mawr in a non-conference matchup at 7:00 p.m.
