ABINGTON, PA – The Penn State Abington Men's Tennis Team picked up their first win of the Fall over the visiting Cabrini Cavaliers, 9 – 0.
In doubles play, Abington quickly jumped on top winning at 3rd Doubles by
Mike Herman and
Sam Borai posting an 8-0 decision.
Monte Dunson and
James Howell quickly followed up with another 8-0 victory in 2
nd Doubles.
Steven Ly and
Kevin Wilkinson finished off the sweep with an 8-2 victory in the 1
st Doubles match.
Abington continued their winning ways in singles action. Freshman Borai picked up his first singles victory for the Nittany Lions at 6th Singles. Howell (3rd Singles) and Wilkinson (5th Singles) both cruised to easy victory 6-0, 6-0, while Dunson (4th Singles) followed up with a 6-1,6-1 win.
Herman, playing his first match at 1st Singles, walked away with a 6-2, 6-0 win, and
Steven Ly closed out the day with a 6-3,6-2 victory at 2nd Singles.
Abington will return to action on Friday,
September 27th as they take on Eastern University at 3 pm.
