Box Score COBLESKILL, N.Y. – The Penn State Abington softball closed a four –run gap to tie it up at nine all on Friday against Keuka College. But Keuka answered with two runs in the top of the sixth inning to win 11-9 in opening round of the North Eastern Athletic Conference championship.
Junior catcher
Sheila O'Hagan went 3-for-4 at the plate and plated a run before posting the solo home run in the third inning. The 2014 NEAC South Division Player of the Year posted her 13
th bomber of the year as she now jumps up into the 5th spot in the national rankings and is currently ranked first in the nation, averaging 0.46 home runs per game.

Bianca Monterosso and left fielder
Carla Ruscio also went 3-for-4 at the plate and scored a pair of runs of their own as Monterosso collected two RBIs in the contest.
Abington (19-10) trailed the entire game and was down 9-5 heading into the bottom of the fourth. The Nittany Lions sparked a comeback and scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth to tie it up when Abington scored three unearned runs on a pair of errors by Keuka before Monterosso knocked the ball out of the park for the 2-run home run to tie up the ballgame at nine runs apiece.
Abington hope to score the go-ahead run after placing a pair of runners at second and third in the top of the sixth, however Keuka (15-8) rebounded from its mistakes and managed to shut the door on the Blue and White's chance to score and turned the table as the Storm ended up with runners in scoring positions themselves before posting two runs on the board and held on for the 11-9 victory.
Sophomore pitcher
Michaela Drogalis started the first innings strong, allowing seven runs in 14 hits in the 32 batters faced before freshman
Emily Wrenn filled in relief to close out the game, giving up four runs on six hits.
The Nittany Lions will return to action tomorrow at 3 p.m., looking to bounce back from the loss as they await to see who the winners are from Game 4 between Penn State Berks and Wilson College to take on the loser of that game in the consolation bracket.
