SECHENECTADAY, N.Y. – The Penn State Abington men's tennis team fell to Colby Sawyer College, 8-1 in Saturday's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship.
The Chargers improve to 14-8 on the year and earns a trip to the NCAA Division III Regional Tournament for the second straight year. The Nittany Lions end their season at 10-6.
Colby Sawyer swept all three doubles play to jump ahead 3-0 before adding on another pair of wins in singles play at No. 1 and 2 singles play.
Penn State Abington were awarded a point in a win at No. 3 flight as
Monte Dunson fought his way back, forcing a tie breaker to come out victorious with a 6-7, 6-3, 13-11 win.
Colby Sawyer closed out the match by winning the final two flights as the Chargers won their second straight conference victory.
