Abington, Pa.- The Penn State Abington men's tennis team won their spring home opener Wednesday afternoon, with a 9-0 win over the Griffins of Gwynedd Mercy.
In the victory,
James Howell,
Monte Dunson,
Sam Borai,
Kevin Wilkinson,
Mohammed Ammouni, and
Michael Brown all recorded easy wins over Gwynedd Mercy. Dunson won a third set as a match tiebreaker 10-5.
In doubles action, the Nittany Lions swept the Griffins as
Mohammed Ammouni and
James Howell;
Michael Brown and
Kevin Wilkinson;
Monte Dunson and
Thomas Vessels all had victories for Abington.
Abington will travel to Flushing, N.Y. to take on Baruch College this Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
