ABINGTON, Pa - The Abington men's tennis team opened up it conference schedule against rival Penn State Berks and came away with a 7-2 win, Sunday afternoon.
Abington improves to 6-3 for the season and 1-0 in the NEAC, while Penn State Berks remains winless in all competition.
The men opened the contest with a sweep in the doubles matches, earning a 3-0 lead before the singles matches were underway.
Abington dropped the first two singles matches, but a win from freshman
Justin McNabb (Elkins Park, Pa.) and
Monte Dunson (Philadelphia, Pa.) secured the fourth and fifth points of the match.
Next the men will take the court against Bryn Athyn College, Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
