DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Penn State Abington men's tennis team rebounded after a tough loss to Drew University with a perfect 9-0 shut out over Delaware Valley University on Wednesday afternoon.
The Nittany Lions dominated the first and second doubles match with an 8-0 win at the top flight, and an 8-1 victory in the number two slot. But
Ilker Erkut and
Alexander Dunetz battled in the third match and came away with a close 9-7 win over the Aggies.
In singles competition the Nittany Lions rolled with three perfect 6-0, 6-0 matches from
Sean Kimball,
Chan wook Hwang, and
Prerak Patel.
Michael Litz won the top flight with a 6-1, 6-0 win and in the third slot
JT Kling earned a 6-0, 6-1 decision. The reigning NAC West Student Athlete of the Week
Tarik Dashields remained undefeated for the season with a 6-1, 6-0 win at the fourth flight.
Abington will take a break until the spring season.
