Men’s Tennis Blanks Eastern, 9-0

ABINGTON, Pa. – The Penn State Abington men's tennis team bounced back with a 9-0 win over Eastern University on Wednesday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions improve to 3-6 before they enter conference play.

In doubles action the Nittany Lions swept the Eagles with Monte Dunson and Chan wook Hwang taking the first point with an 8-2 win. Next the pairing of JT Kling and Brandon Zweiback earned the second point of the match with an 8-3 decision. Mohammed Ammouni and Qili Jian earned the sweep with an 8-5 victory.

Zweiback earned the first victory in singles action with a 6-1, 6-0 win. For the crucial fifth point of the match Dunson earned an easy 6-0, 6-1 win to clinch the game for the Nittany Lions.

Abington will return to the court when they host Keuka College on Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m.
