READING, Pa. – In the first match of the season, the Penn State Abington men's tennis team earned a close 5-4 decision over Albright College, on Tuesday afternoon.
The men took the number two and three doubles matches to hold a 2-1 advantage going into singles action.
Albright roared back with three wins in the first three seeds in singles, but the Nittany Lions clinched the match with wins in the fourth ,fifth and sixth flight. Sophomore
Chan wook Hwang (Bryn Mawr, Pa.) rallied to a victory to earn the fifth point for the Nittany Lions.
Abington will return to action when they travel to Drew University on September 28, at 4:00 p.m.
