MADISON, NJ – The Penn State Abington men's tennis team traveled to Drew University and fell to Rangers 6-3 on Wednesday afternoon. Abington moves to 1-1 for the season.
In doubles action, the Nittany Lions lost the top two flights to the Rangers, but
Tarik Dashields and
Prerak Patel savaged a point with an 8-1 win in the third doubles match.
Down 2-1 going into singles, Abington gained a point in the fourth match with a tight 7-6 (14-12), 5-7, 1-0 (10-8) victory for Dashields, and Patel gave the Nittany Lions their third point with a thrilling  6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (7-4) decision.
For the next match, Abington will travel to Delaware Valley University on October 5, at 3:00 p.m. for the final match of the fall season.
