Box Score ABINGTON, Pa. – After a tough outing in the NEAC crossover, the Penn State Abington women's volleyball team rebounded with a 3-1 win over Immaculata on Wednesday night.
Abington improves to 11-6 for the season after the victory.
The Nittany Lions battled with the Mighty Macs in the first set, but pulled away to win a 25-20 victory. In game two the Nittany Lions fell behind 16-10, but pulled off a stunning rally to win the second set 25-22 over the Mighty Macs. Immaculata earned a huge victory in the third set to keep the game alive with a 25-10 decision. Â Desperate to tie the match, Immaculata fought to keep pace with Abington, but the Nittany Lions pulled out an exciting 27-25 finish to close out the Mighty Macs.

The Nittany Lions were led by senior
Sam Amaro (Philadelphia, Pa.) with 16 kills and 12 digs, and
Maddi Richard (Warminster, Pa.) earned 27 digs of her own. Sophomore
Andia Anderson (Philadelphia, Pa.) added 10 kills to the attack, and freshman
Isabel Hoch (Philadelphia, Pa.) racked up 12 digs, tied for second with Amaro.
Abington will enter its third round of the NEAC crossover when they travel to the College of Saint Elizabeth on Saturday afternoon. The Nittany Lions will first face off against reigning NEAC champion Gallaudet at 1:00 p.m. and then will face Wilson College at 3:00 p.m.
