ST. DAVIDS, Pa.- A stellar showing in singles action for the Nittany Lions propelled them to a 7-2 win over Eastern on Wednesday afternoon. The Nittany Lions improve to 4-3 for the season.
The Nittany Lions fell in the top flight of doubles, but Abington won an 8-5 decision and cruised to a 8-1 win in the second and third doubles matches to take a 2-1 lead.
At the top flight the Eagles took the first match, but down the competitions the Nittany Lions cruised past Eastern winning the rest of the matches handily.
Abington will return to the court when they travel to Bryn Athyn tomorrow at 4:00 p.m.
