LANCASTER, Pa. – The Penn State Abington men's team stayed perfect in the conference with a 9-0 shutout of Lancaster Bible on Sunday afternoon. Abington improves to 7-5 overall and 3-0 in the conference.
Abington battled in doubles taking the first flight with an easy 8-0 win. At the second flight the Nittany Lions faced their toughest competition of the day but prevailed with an 8-6 win. The men rounded out the third flight with an 8-4 decision.
The Nittany Lions pushed through singles action with little fight from the Chargers, but the closest match came at the third flight with
Tarik Dashields taking the first set 6-3, in the second set the freshman was pressed but won 7-5.
Next Abington will face off against Penn State Berks at a time and date to be determined after the match was postponed on Saturday afternoon.
