CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – The Penn State Abington men's tennis team battled in the NAC West Championship, but fell to rivals Penn State Berks, 6-3 Thursday afternoon.

Abington lost two of the first three matches in doubles, but
Tarik Dashields and
Prerak Patel salvaged a point with a close 9-8 (7-4) win over Berks.

In singles
Sean Kimball tied the match easily with a 6-1,6-1 win at the second flight. Berks pulled ahead with wins in the third and fifth match. Freshman
Michael Litz fell behind in the first set, but rallied in the second set with a 6-0 win to push the match. Unfortunately, Litz fell to Berks in a heart breaking 7-5 loss in the third set. Freshman
Ilker Erkut pulled off a close 7-6, 6-5 win in the sixth position to gain the last point for the Nittany Lions.

Abington will continue with the Individual tournament today and tomorrow that will decide the NAC West All-Conference teams.
