Nittany Lions to Face Rowan In NCAA Tournament Regionals

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The Penn State Abington baseball team will face off against Rowan University in its first ever NCAA DIII Baseball Tournament appearance.

The Nittany Lions earned an automatic berth into the tournament after being named the champions.  Abington earned their title being the highest remaining seed left in the conference tournament after the championship game was canceled due to poor weather conditions.

Rowan University earned an at-large bid into the tournament after posting a 30-11 record and being ranked #7 in the country in the most recent NCBWA/D3Baseball.com poll.

The Nittany Lions are no strangers to the Profs after earning one of the biggest upsets in the 2018 season beating the nationally ranked team 10-7 at Alverthorpe Park last year.

Abington will either face Salisbury University, or Washington and Jefferson in the double elimination regional pending the results of game one.

Salisbury University will be the hosting campus for the regional with the date and time of each game to be announced by the NCAA later in the week. Check back at abingtonsports.com for more updates.
