WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Penn State Abingon's men's team will be heading to the NEAC Semifinals after defeating Penn College 6-3 on Saturday afternoon. The Nittany Lions get their revenge on the Wildcats after they we're defeated earlier in the week by the same 6-3 score line.
Abington took an early 2-0 lead in doubles action with
Adrian Condes and Philip Belotserkovsk holding on for an 8-6 win at the top flight.
Dhruv Shahane and
Andrew Cavanaugh dominated their match with an 8-2 decision over Penn College.
In singles action, Shahane earned a win at the two spot with a decisive 6-1, 6-2 win. Next up , Belotserkovsk won at the third flight 6-4, 6-2 and
Andrew Cavanaugh took the four spot winning 6-1, 6-0. Rounding out the group
Kaushik Karri took the fifth flight in a hard earned 6-3, 6-3 decision.
Abington will advance to the NEAC Semifinals on Tuesday afternoon at Lancaster Bible.
