Abington Competes at Husky Invitational

Danville, Pa. – Junior Nick DeGirolamo and senior Shane Nocito finished tied for fourth as the Penn State Abington golf team competed at the Husky Invitational hosted by Bloomsburg University at Frosty Valley Resort on Thursday.

Both DeGirolamo and Nocito shot a 78 (+6) on the 72-par course to help lead Abington to a fourth-place team finish among 10 competing teams. The Nittany Lions finished with a team score of 340.

Junior Michael Festa finished tied for 16^th after finishing the day with a score of 84.

Other finishes for Abington include, senior Kevin Burke (100), sophomore Simon Mills (108) and freshman Ava Miller who competed as an individual (123).

Abington returns to action on next weekend as the Nittany Lions compete in the two-day United East Conference Championship held at the Rancocas Golf Club in Willingboro, N.J. Day one is set to begin on Saturday, April 23.
