Abington Competes at United East Preview

RESULTS

Harrisburg, Pa. – The Penn State Abington men's golf team took part in the United East Championship Preview event hosted by Penn State Harrisburg at Dauphin Highlands Golf Course on Thursday. All eight conference members that sponsor men's golf were at the event. Harrisburg will be hosting this year's United East Championship in April.

As a team, Abington finished with a score of 348 and was led by sophomore Trevor Ridge who finished the afternoon with a score of 79 to finish tied for 13^th overall. Ridge parred 11 holes, including six on the front nine. He also had a birdie on hole number five scoring a four on the par-5 hole.

Junior Matthew Kilner totaled an 85 on the day to finish tied for 25^th. Kilner finished with six pars.

Other scores for Abington included, senior Bern Popky (91 – 37^th), freshman Chase Green (93 – t-39^th) and sophomore Anthony Feliciani (103 – 44th).

Abington returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 5 as the Nittany Lions compete in the two-day Golden Oaks Shootout hosted by Arcadia University at the Golden Oaks Golf Course.
