Abington Wraps Up Fall Schedule at F&M Fall Invitational

Lititz, Pa. – The Penn State Abington men's golf team wrapped up the fall portion of its 2023-24 schedule as the Nittany Lions competed in the Franklin and Marshall Fall Invitational on Monday at Bent Creek Country Club.

Tournament Highlights

* Senior Leonard Gipson registered Abington's lowest score on the day as he carded an 83 (+12) on the par-71 course.

* Sophomore Jake Gregory finished the day with a score of 85 (+14).

* Sophomore John Donahue ended the day with a score of 90 (+19).

* Senior Chris Taylor and freshman Matt Duggan rounded out the scoring for the Nittany Lions. Taylor finished with a 95 (+24), while Duggan finished with a 105 (+34).

Tournament Notes

* Franklin & Marshall edged out Swarthmore to win its own tournament. The Diplomats recorded a team-low score of 299 to finish just ahead of Swarthmore at 301.

* Franklin & Marshall's Shane Lawler and Dickinson's Peter Lown finished tied for first as each shot a 71. Lawler won on first handicapped hole (hole 3).

Next Up
Abington will resume competition later this spring beginning in March.
