Ilemobede Finishes 4th in Long Jump as Abington Opens Inaugural Season

Collegeville, Pa. – The Penn State Abington men's track & field team made its debut at the Ursinus College Outdoor Invite competing in the program's first-ever competition on Saturday at Patterson Field.

Meet Highlights

* Simi Ilemobede recorded the team's top individual performance as he finished fourth overall in the long jump event. Ilemobade finished with a distance of 19'2" (5.84m).

* In the 200-meters, Colin Chan was the team's top finisher as he recorded a time of 27.42 seconds.

* Mo Udisi clocked in at 59.36 in the 400-meter dash.

* Isaiah Torres paced the team in the 800-meters with a time of 2:20.35.

* In the 1,500-meters, Nicolas Nieves finished in a time of 4:47.18.

* The 4x100-meter team of Charles Langley, Chan, Marco Isabella and Raphael Alila, Jr. finished third overall in a time of 50.33 seconds.

* In the 4x400-meters, the quartet of Isabella, Langley, Chan and Udisi finished in 4:17.85 for a fifth place showing.

Abington returns to action on Friday, March 31 as the Nittany Lions compete in the two-day Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener University.
