Abington Competes at Osprey Open

RESULTS

Galloway, N.J. – The Penn State Abington women's track & field team competed at the annual Osprey Open hosted by Stockton University on Friday and Saturday at G. Larry James Stadium.

Meet Highlights

* Freshman Jackie Lewis improved on her own school record in the shot put event as she finished with a distance of 24' 2.25" (7.37m). She also upgraded her top mark in the discus with a school record performance of 79' 11" (24.35m). Lewis improved her distance in the discus by over six feet.

* In the 1,500-meters, junior Brielle Worrall set the new school record with a time of 5:45.35. Worrall also set the new standard in the 400-meter dash as she finished in 1:17.91.

Abington returns to action on Saturday, April 15 as the Nittany Lions take part in the Bill Butler Invitational hosted by West Chester University.
