Abington Finishes 1st at Marywood Tri-Match

RESULTS

Tunkhannock, Pa. – The Penn State Abington men's golf team finished first overall in a tri-match hosted by Marywood University at the Stone Hedge Golf Course on Thursday. The Nittany Lions shot a team-low score of 332 to edge out Marywood (342) and Clarks Summit University (442).

Sophomores John Donahue and Bern Popky each carded an individual low score of 80 on the par-71 course. It marked a season-low score for Popky, while Donahue was making his season debut.

Senior Leonard Gipson finished fifth overall with a season-low score of 84, while sophomore Jake Gregory carded a score of 88 to finish seventh overall. Freshman Matt Duggan finished tied for eighth with a score of 92 in his collegiate debut.
