Abington Takes Part in Rowan’s Border Battle

Logan Township, N.J. – The Penn State Abington men's cross country team competed in the ninth annual Border Battle hosted by Rowan University at DREAM Park on Saturday.

Meet Highlights

* Freshman Mateo Jofre was the Nittany Lions' top finisher as he finished the 8k-course in a time of 34:47.5 setting a new personal-best.

* Freshman Anthony Silva also set a new personal-best as he crossed the finish line in 39:08.3.

* Freshman Peter Woo finished the race in 52:04.7.

Abington returns to action in two weeks as the Nittany Lions compete in the annual United East Conference championships hosted by St. Mary's College (Md.). This year's championship will be held at Greenwell State Park in Hollywood, Md. More information will be available in the coming days.
