Abington Takes Part in Dutchmen Invitational to Open 2025 Season

RESULTS

Lebanon, Pa. – The Penn State Abington men's cross country team kicked off the 2025 season at the 52^nd annual Dutchmen Invitational hosted by Lebanon Valley College at Union Canal Tunnel Park on Saturday morning. A total of 15 teams, including 167 individuals competed in the 8k-race.

Meet Highlights

* Abington had nine runners making their collegiate debut in Saturday's race.

* Freshman Mason Kaminski was the team's top finisher as he wrapped up the 8k-course in a time of 27:20.3.

* Three Abington runners finished within 10 seconds of one another, including freshman Shane McCreary (32:24.9), senior Marco Isabella (32:25.3) and freshman Jackie Chen (32:32.2).

* Freshman Dan Kulb finished in a time of 35:29.8, while freshman Calvin Chen and sophomore Edison Chen finished back-to-back with times of 36:04.2 and 36:38.7.

* Other finishers include freshman Ali Wardak (38:55.8), sophomore Anthony Silva (39:59.8), freshman Qiao Xin (45.29.0), senior Nic Worrall (46:52.5) and freshman James Wu (51:45.8).

Abington returns to action on Friday, Sept. 12 as the Nittany Lions compete in the United East Preview hosted by Penn State Brandywine.
