Abington Competes at Stevenson Spring Invitational

RESULTS

Hampstead, Md. – The Penn State Abington men's golf team took part in the Stevenson University Spring Invitational on Thursday at the Piney Branch Golf Club. The Nittany Lions finished eighth overall with a team score of 334.

Match Highlights

* Senior Leonard Gipson was the Nittany Lions' top finisher as he totaled a team-low score of 78 (+7) on the par-71 course. Gipson finished tied for 22^nd.

* Sophomore Jake Gregory and senior Michael Festa finished back-to-back. Gregory finished with an 84 (+13), while Festa carded an 85 (+14).

* Sophomore John Donahue factored in the scoring as he totaled an 87 (+16) on the day.

* Sophomore Berk Popky totaled an 89 (+18).

Next Up
Abington returns to action on Saturday, April 27 as the Nittany Lions host the United East Championship. The two-day tournament will be held at Philmont Country Club.
