Frank Named United East Offensive Player of the Week

Latham, N.Y. – Penn State Abington sophomore Kaitlyn Frank was named the United East Conference (UEC) Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 12 as announced by the conference office on Monday.  Frank is earning weekly honors for the first time in her career.
 
Abington went 2-0-0 against conference opponents last week to improve to 3-1-0 in the United East.  The Nittany Lions defeated Cedar Crest College (W, 2-0) and the University of Valley Forge (W, 10-0).
 
Frank highlighted the week with her first career hat-trick against Valley Forge.  She finished the game with three goals and three assists for a career-high nine points.  Frank's three helpers tied the program's single game record.   Earlier in the week she scored an insurance goal late in the second half against Cedar Crest.
 
Frank as scored at least one point in eight of her last nine games.  During that span she has totaled eight goals and six assists for 22 points.
 
Abington (5-6-2, 3-1-0 UEC) is back in action on Wednesday as the Nittany Lions travel to face Lancaster Bible College in a United East contest.  Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
