Abington Falls to Eastern in Non-Conference Match

Box Score Abington, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's tennis team dropped a non-conference match against visiting Eastern University by the score of 6-1 on Saturday afternoon at the Abington Tennis Courts on campus.

How It Happened
 
* Eastern earned the team point after doubles competitions.  The Eagles won both first and second doubles by identical 6-4 scores.
 
* Sophomore Mia Hammoudi won the most games for the Nittany Lions as she battle Eastern's Lily Aldrich at fifth singles.  Aldrich won the match by the scores of 6-4, 6-2.
 
* Abington's lone singles point came at sixth singles due to forfeit.
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the 10th meeting between Abington and Eastern since the start of the 2011-12 season.  The Nittany Lions are now 2-8 versus the Eagles in the all-time series.
 
Next Up
Abington returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 11 as the Nittany Lions travel to face McDaniel College in a non-conference contest.  Match time is set for 1 p.m.
