Jamaladdin Earns All-United East Honors

Latham, N.Y. – Penn State Abington junior outside hitter Zayna Jamaladdin was named to the All-United East Conference (UEC) teams as announced by the conference office and voted upon by the conference's head coaches. Jamaladdin was selected to the All-United East second team for the second straight season.

Jamaladdin had another stellar season on the attack for the Nittany Lions as she averaged a career-high 3.18 kills per set ranking among the conference leaders. She finished the season with a career-high 264 total kills and 307 points. Jamaladdin ranked sixth in the United East in both categories.

Jamaladdin recorded double-digit kills in 14 matches this season, including a stretch of three straight matches where she totaled 20 kills or more. The two-time All-United East selection set a career-high with 23 kills in the team's four-set victory against Bryn Mawr College.

Abington (15-10, 6-4 UEC) finished conference play with a 6-4 record and qualified for the postseason for the third straight season. The Nittany Lions earned the seventh seed and advanced to the United East quarterfinals after shutting out tenth-seeded Penn College, 3-0, in the first round.
