Fillman Earns All-Region Honors from D3Baseball.com

Abington, Pa. – Penn State Abington senior Shane Fillman was named to the D3Baseball.com All-Region 4 team as announced by the organization late last week. Fillman, who was selected to the All-Region third team, is earning all-region honors for the first time in his career. The 2025 season marks the 13^th season that D3Baseball.com has named All-Region teams, with more than 1,000 players nomination across the nation.

Last month, Fillman received his second All-United East selection of his two-year Abington career being named to the second team in back-to-back seasons. The two-time All-United East selection finished the year batting .342 and posted career numbers in hits (55), doubles (12), runs (36) and stolen bases (13). He also totaled five home runs and 35 RBI; two shy of his career-high. Defensively, Fillman had a career-low six errors and set a new career-high with a .956 fielding percentage.

Fillman registered multiple hits in 19 games during the course of the season, including a career-high four hits on three separate occasions. He also drove in a season-high four runs three times with the first being a 4-for-4 performance in the team's victory versus Lakeland at the RussMatt Baseball Invitational in Florida.

Fillman finished his Abington career with a .346 batting average to go along with 104 hits, 20 doubles, 12 home runs, 65 runs and 73 RBI.

Abington (17-20, 9-7 UEC) qualified for the postseason for the 13th time and ninth straight after finishing 9-7 in conference play. The Nittany Lions advanced to the Second Round of this year's United East championship.
