Abington Takes Part in Danny Curran Invitational

Chester, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's track & field team competed at the annual Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener University on Saturday at George A. Hansell Track.

Meet Highlights

* Senior Teni Olayinka-Yusuf was the team's top performer in both the 100-meters and 200-meters. Olayinka-Yusuf recorded season-best times in both events with times of 13.30 in the 100-meters and 27.88 in the 200-meters.

* Junior Nelly Evangelista led the team in the 400-meters as she finished in 1:17.41 in her first-ever running of the event. Evangelista also competed in the 200-meters and finished in 33.07 seconds.

* Sophomore Autumn Marteins-Jackson set season-best times in the 200-meters and 400-meters. She finished the 200-meters in 33.25 seconds and clocked in at 1:23.99 in the 400-meters.

* Senior Jeniyah Phair recorded a personal-best in the 100-meters as she finished in 15.17 seconds. Phair also took part in the 200-meters and recorded a time of 32.28 seconds.

Next Up
Abington returns to action this weekend as the Nittany Lions compete in the two-day Ursinus College Springfest held at Patterson Field.
