Abington Competes at Danny Curran Invitational

Chester, Pa. – The Penn State Abington men's track & field team competed at the annual Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener University on Saturday at George A. Hansell Track.
 
Meet Highlights
 
* Junior William Lotoza was the team's top finisher in the 200-meters.  Lotoza finished in a time of 24.86 seconds in his season debut. He also competed in the 800-meters for the first time in his career and record a time of 2:11.59.
 
* In the 400-meters, freshman Justin Heintz crossed the finish line in 1:01.52 for the team's top showing in the event.  Heintz also set a season-best time of 2:22.44 in the 800-meters.
 
* Freshman Mason Kaminski made his collegiate debut on the track and recorded the team's top times in the 800-meters and 1,500-meters.  In the 800-meters, Kaminski recorded a time of 2:06.06 and clocked in at 4:22.01 in the 1,500-meters.
 
Next Up
Abington returns to action this weekend as the Nittany Lions compete in the two-day Ursinus College Springfest held at Patterson Field.
