Men’s Tennis Earns Academic Honors from ITA

Abington, Pa. – The Penn State Abington men's tennis team earned the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Team Academic Award for the fifth straight season when the organization announced its annual academic awards earlier this week.
 
The men's tennis program finished the 2025-26 academic year with a team grade point average of 3.56 to earn All-Academic Team honors for the fifth straight time.  In order to be named an ITA All-Academic Team, program's must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above.
 
In addition, six student-athletes were recognized with the ITA Scholar-Athlete award for posting a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during 2025-26 season.  This year's honorees include, Sanat Juneja, Joseph Mouendi, Kaan Ofluoglu, Samiul Sami, Daniel Trott and Mark Tymchenko.
 
Within the sport of tennis, student-athletes continue to exceed expectations in the classroom and on the court. In 2026, 1,151 Division III men's tennis student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, and 147 men's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
