Shaan Rahi (New Hyde Park, N.Y. / Herricks) came off the bench to score 16 points and pull down 11 rebounds, as the Lions earned their first victory of the season, 66-62, over Eastern Nazarene in the consolation round of the Nate Ware Classic at Eastern University. Rahi hit four consecutive free in the final minute to ice the victory.

Mike Colacci (Middlesex, N.J. / Middlesex) recorded his second double-digit scoring performace in as many games with 13 points on 5-10 shooting from the floor, including 3-7 from from beyond the 3-point arc.
After racing to a 14-point lead at halftime on the strength of a 16-4 run to close out the first half, the team cruised through much of the second half maintaining double-digit lead.
Eastern Nazarene went on a 17-4 run to take its only lead of the game, 61-60, with 3:47 remaining. Alton answered with a jumper to put the Lions up one. Eastern Nazarene's CJ Gonzalez hit one of two free throws to tie the game at 62 with 1:24 remaining before Rahi iced the game from the free throw line.
The team returns to action after the fall break, playing Penn State-Brandywine in Media on November 30 at 7 p.m.
