Kelly and Fox Earn All-United East Honors

Latham, N.Y. – Penn State Abington senior JoJo Kelly and junior Tyler Fox were named to the United East Men's Basketball All-Conference teams as voted upon by the head coaches and announced by the conference office on Tuesday.  Kelly was selected All-United East first team, while Fox garnered All-United East third team honors.

Kelly, in his first and only season at Abington, had a historic year as he averaged 19.9 points per game setting the program's single season record in the Division III era.  Kelly totaled 498 points in 25 games; the third most scored in a single season. In addition, the Philadelphia native averaged 5.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.  Kelly also shot over 80-percent from the free throw line connecting on 130-of-161 attempts on the year. His 130 made free throws are third most in a single season.  He ranked third in the United East in scoring and second in made free throws.

During the course of the season, Kelly scored 20-plus points in 14 games, including a program record 47 points against Gallaudet University on Senior Day.  Against the Bison, Kelly drained 17 shots and, in the process, set another single game record for most made field goals.  Earlier in the season, he set the single season record for most free throws with 15 against Penn State Brandywine.

Fox, in his first year with the Nittany Lions, is earning third team honors after putting together an impressive season.  The Abington sharpshooter led the team with 58 made three-pointers and finished tied for fourth among the conference leaders.  Fox drained at least one three-pointer in his final 16 games this season, including tying the program's single game record with seven threes against nationally ranked the University of Mary Washington.

Fox appeared in all 25 games, including 18 starts as he averaged 13.1 points per game to go along with 3.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contest.  He also averaged close to 1.0 steals per game on defense.

Fox scored a season-high 29 points twice during the season versus Notre Dame of Maryland University and at Cairn University in the United East quarterfinals.

Abington (6-20, 6-7 UEC) earned the sixth seed in the United East tournament as the Nittany Lions qualified for the postseason for the first time since 2023.  It marked the team's sixth overall appearance in the conference tournament in the program's Division III era.
