ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Penn State Abington Women's Tennis Team's lost their final match of the Fall to the Raven of Rosemont College on their home courts, 5 – 2.
 
The Lions only managed one win in doubles play, picking up a victory at 1^st  by Honora Hegarty and Shena Philip. Abington's 3^rd Doubles duo of Emilie Jusseaume and Y Nhi Nguyen, lost a seesaw battle going down 0-3, up 5-3, and ultimately losing 6-8, which proved costly as the match wore on.
 
In singles action, Honestee Sphabmixay, at 6^th Singles picked up her first career victory 6-2, 6-3. However, Rosemont took 4^th and 5^th Singles in straight sets, giving the Ravens a 4 – 2 lead.
 
At the top of the lineup, Abington took the first sets at 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd Singles, but Rosemont fought back and took the second sets in all three matches within minutes of each other. Nearing 7 pm, and the light quickly fading all three matches headed into a third set. Only 2^nd Singles concluded their match in the oncoming darkness, with Rosemont taking the 5^th and final point of the evening, winning 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 over Olya Popili.
 
Hegarty (1^st Singles) and Philip's (3^rd Singles) went unfinished due to darkenss.
 
The Lady Lions now prepare for their first annual Alumni Match that will be held on October 5 at 9 am.
