WINCHESTER, Va – To open the second half of their season, the Abington women's tennis team were handed its first loss of the season against Virginia Wesleyan College 6-3, Tuesday afternoon. 
The women won their fist match of the afternoon in the second game that featured freshman 
Amanda Shulski (Penndel, Pa. ) and 
Sally Phung (Philadelphia, Pa.).  Shulski and Phung defeated Virginia Wesleyan's Tiye Johnson and Dara Gunter in a 8-2 decision. 
In singles action, 
Sheena Philip (Philadelphia, Pa.) won her fourth match of the year topping the Marlins Kristen Walden in two sets 6-4, and 7-6. 
Sophomore 
Janie Saile (Huntington Valley, Pa.) gained Abington's final victory with a 6-0 and 6-2 defeat over Virginia Wesleyan's Dara Gunter. 
The Nittany Lions return to the court at home against Eastern University on March 24th at 3 p.m.
